I am flabbergasted (spelling?). I visited the site http://www.sonyclassics.com/whokilledtheelectriccar/electric.html showed in the clip at the end and read absolutely everything.
I mean I remember the EV1, sure I do! I was so interested by it. I even wrote to them and asked them when (and if) it would be available in Quebec, where I lived at the time. They even replied - “not sure, the cold woudl reduce the efficiency of the batteries, we’ll let you know”.
And then, slowly I never heard of that car again. About two years ago? I’ve seen on some talk show a certain celebrity saying she was arrested for refusing GM pass their trucks to a scrap yard to shred the EV1’s.
Now, having read the site, it all falls into place. I just can’t believe how much I didn’t know (and I try to inform myself about environmental issues) and how deep these issues go. Bush and his croonies will go down in history as the biggest crooks who singlehandedly helped the world plunge into an invironmental crisis. I am so upset by all this. If only Al Gore won…he’s so much for the evironment. What an irreparable setback this has been that Bush has been elected.
I watch him sometimes during the press conferences he gives. He always has that smug smile on his face. Makes you want to put your foot in it. And you just can see him lie trough his teeth. Amazing. To say that half the Americans voted him in again for a second term. Unbelievable.
So now we are supposed to go for the hydrogen fuel cell, which is just a joke. Makes Bush look like he’s doing something for the environment, when actually he isn’t. I hope one day he is tried, with his fellow crooks for endangerament of the planet. He truly is a criminal.
