Congratulations on the new site… or should I say “news” site! (Yeah, that was a bad joke) I really like the layout, and am grateful for the “English” pages. :)

Looks great. Just wondering - why did you choose not to have any kind of change to links on hover e.g. underline etc.?

Tomas: Thanks! Yeah, the English pages are cool for the non-french speaking among us :-)
Lasse: Thanks! Actually I didn’t make that decision. We’ve got graphic design people who make those decisions. My team’s job is to make what they come up with a reality. :-)

Congrats Ara, nice to see you writing again, I like the site and was also happy to see the English speaking version. I would have to agree with the lack of visual cues being counter-intuative, you should go and give the creative team a hard time ;-)
If they don’t buckle… send them to me and I will nag at them!

gabyu: Thanks! I’m not sure, from what I heard we had the logo handed to us by the design firm that did all the visual work for FRANCE 24.
Alan: Thanks! It’s funny but when you’re building a site (especially with a big team where everyone is really specialized) you have a hard time seeing the big picture. (e.g. visual cues)… but then I can wash my hands of that and point to the IA and Graphics guys. Hehe. As far as nagging them goes… I’m smarter than that ;-)
