UPS dropped off my new book, The Art & Science of JavaScript, today. Cool! It cost $20.55 in “import charges” to get it across the border. Not cool! Five books shipped from the U.S. to Canada cost twenty bucks in broker’s fees? Wow, long live NAFTA!
Border charges notwithstanding, I’m honored to be a co-author with such talented people as Cameron Adams, James Edwards, Christian Heilmann, Michael Mahemoff, Dan Webb and Simon Willison.★

Sitepoint is Australian. NAFTA is North American. Seems reasonable to pay fees. :) All stickler-ness aside, many congrats! I know how rewarding it is to hold that book in your hands.
@Jonathan:
Yeah, except that this shipment came from Stratford, CT in the US. :-)
And thanks, it does feel pretty awesome.
Congratulations Ara!
Dang, mine hasn’t arrived yet. They must have sent it eastbound not westbound.
What do I have to do around here to get a free, autographed copy?
(I could write code and stuff: would marking up my comment count?) :P
Congratulations!
Wow, Ara, Congrats!
It’s always been a pain in a butt to get a JS work for me. I still use old scripts in my site. I am sure your book will give some good advice to needed ones.
Wee
Congratulations Ara! I just heard about your book over on the Yahoo developer blog. Can’t wait to order a copy and check it out.
