Google Talk Voicemail

Google Talk Voicemail in ActionGoogle talk has voicemail now?! I just tried calling a friend through Google Talk and after four rings I heard the distinctive double ring click of voicemail picking up after which a female voice came on and said: The person you are trying to reach isn’t available, please leave a message after the meep, meeeep!

Crazy.★

    It’s easy to do this using Asterisk (http://www.asterisk.org/), who is an open-source PBX (VoIP). Somebody did a connector to interact with Google Talk network.

    The first time I heard that meep I just burst out laughing, now my friend has a voicemail that’s 99% me cracking up.
