Well, it looks like Mr. Ballmer has his war. Google is officially taking on Microsoft by targeting Office with a planned release of a free online word processor and spreadsheet.
Update: It seems that this story wasn’t as official as it once was believe to be. It has since been quashed by Sergey Brin.
